We developed an expressive visual language to bring diverse content and topics to life.

 

"Harvard Business Publishing sought fresh ideas to reimagine how to showcase its rich and diverse content catalog. We explored multiple approaches to updating the website and visual language, and this concept emerged as the favorite.

We crafted a versatile visual language that blends masked images, geometric and organic shapes, and dynamic scribbles. Clear guidelines were established for color pairings and creating illustrations of varying complexity.

We applied this visual language to every piece of content—articles, podcasts, and more—ensuring each was distinct yet cohesively connected within the overall design.

We expanded this visual language to include social media and website patterns, envisioning its potential to engage educators. Unfortunately, full alignment from all stakeholders kept this vision from reaching its audience.
